Antique Furniture Reupholstery
Antique chairs, settees and sofas reupholstered by hand in our Brooklyn workshop, with the frame, springs and show-wood treated as carefully as the fabric. We work the traditional way where the piece calls for it, and we tell you before anything original is replaced. Written quote the same business day.

What antique reupholstery includes
- Springs re-tied by hand, eight-way where the piece calls for it
- Seats and backs rebuilt, with down and feather cushion fills
- Loose joints re-glued and frames made sound
- Show-wood cleaned, repaired and refinished
- Diamond and channel tufting, double welting and nailhead
- Fabric chosen for the period, or your own (COM)
Original where it counts
Many antiques still have original springs, webbing or stuffing worth keeping. Once the piece is open, we tell you what we find and recommend what to keep, what to rebuild and what to replace, before the work goes further.
Period-appropriate details
Diamond and channel tufting, double welting and hand-set nailhead trim are done the traditional way, so the finished piece looks right for its age.

FAQ
Questions about antique furniture reupholstery
Careful work that keeps the original structure where possible protects a piece in daily use. If a piece may be valuable as a collectible, have it appraised first and tell us; we can work as conservatively as you want.
Where they are sound, yes. We tell you what we find once the piece is open and recommend what to keep and what to replace.
We help you find a fabric close to the original or suited to the period, or we work with fabric you supply.
Yes. Loose joints, broken rails and worn show-wood are repaired in the same workshop, so the frame and the upholstery are done together.
Every antique is different, so every job gets a written quote. Send photos and you will have a price the same business day.
