What antique restoration includes

Restoration, not just refinishing

Refinishing strips the old finish and starts again. Restoration keeps as much of the original wood and finish as possible, which is usually what an antique needs. We test the finish first and choose the gentlest approach that works.

Wood and upholstery under one roof

Many antiques are part wood, part upholstery. Because we do both, an antique chair or settee can have its frame restored and its upholstery redone in one job.

Where we work

Pieces come to our Brooklyn workshop from across New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. Transportation available.
